Automatic maintenance end warnings from within Maya
Just in case you forgot: if you buy a full license you are allowed to download updates for free for a whole year! That maintenance period starts with the day of your purchase.
Q: How do I know that the year is almost over so that I don’t miss the chance to purchase an update?
A: That’s where the fun part begins: from now on every plug-in will check whether your maintenance is about to expire when loading it. It will start reminding you of that fact when the last 30 days of your maintenance period have begun. You’ll then be presented with a link to automatically purchase an update at a very discounted price!
Q: That’s great! Do I need to have an internet connection for the reminder to work?
A: No, the reminder works without an internet connection.
Q: Good! Can I switch off that reminder?
A: Yes, the reminder can be switch off under the Service Preferences menu in the particular plug-in. But remember that you’ll only be able to update at a discounted price in the maintenance period!
Q: Ok, what if the year is over and I need a new update?
A: You need to buy a new FULL license.
Q: Does ticket01 keep older versions of all plug-ins?
A: No, for various reasons ticket01 does not keep any binary/compiled versions of releases other then the latest ones on the web server.
